{"id":91,"date":"2026-02-15T21:06:52","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T21:06:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saccommunityrec.com\/east-sac-rec\/?post_type=program&#038;p=91"},"modified":"2026-02-15T21:06:53","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T21:06:53","slug":"east-sac-recreation-program","status":"publish","type":"program","link":"https:\/\/saccommunityrec.com\/east-sac-rec\/programs\/east-sac-recreation-program\/","title":{"rendered":"East Sac Recreation Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>2026 Baseball &amp; Softball Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Grades 1<\/strong><strong><sup>st<\/sup><\/strong><strong>- 6<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Registration form and Payment is due<\/strong> <strong>March 15th, 2026<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>($25 LATE FEE)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Registration Fee: $60.00 includes new jersey &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; $30.00 without jersey<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong> and 8<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong> Grade Softball and 7<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong> and 8<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong> Grade Baseball are being played through the school.&nbsp; Make sure your son or daughter signs up at school!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We will be using the same jerseys as last year for coach pitch, minors and majors.\u00a0 If your child\u2019s jersey still fits, you do not need to order a new one.\u00a0 If your child played tee ball last year, you will need to order a new jersey. \u00a0 If you are ordering a girl\u2019s youth jersey, those do run small!\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Teams are picked by the volunteer head coaches.\u00a0 We do not have separate Sac City\/Wall Lake\/Lake View teams.\u00a0 Teams are mixed between all East Sac County students.\u00a0 Practices are held in Sac City, Lake View and Wall Lake.\u00a0 Practices will start in April.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We will be playing in the Northern Iowa Youth Softball\/Baseball League. (Same as last year) Games will start the second full week in May.\u00a0 Games will be played Monday-Thursday.\u00a0 Teams will play two games per week and on the same day each week. (example: Tuesdays and Thursdays) Fridays are used for rain dates.\u00a0 Tournament play will be the last two weeks of June.\u00a0 <strong>WE WILL NOT GET A GAME SCHEDULE UNTIL THE FIRST WEEK OF MAY.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We are requiring parents to sign up for a minimum of one shift per child in the snack shack.\u00a0 We pay out over $1,250 per year in the past to our snack shack workers that could otherwise go back into the program.\u00a0 There will be a sign-up sheet at the beginning of the season and you will NOT have to miss one of your child\u2019s games. If you wish to Opt-Out of volunteering, you can at a cost of <strong>$30 per child<\/strong>. Coaches are also exempt.
